Our qualified, bilingual teachers are ready to teach any skill level, from beginner to advanced. Not only do we offer lessons in a wide range of instruments, but in any style you would like to learn. (classical, rock, jazz, blues, etc.)
With half hour one on one lessons, the student will receive the full attention he/she needs.

Three of our teachers, Eric Hitsman (vocals, guitar, bass), Chris Zimmerman (drums) and Eric St-Cyr (vocals, guitar, bass) have taken their many years of experience to form Ottawa's freshest cover band, The Art Vandelays.
Perfect for many situations including pubs and clubs, weddings, parties and corporate events, The Art Vandelays are ready to perform as a power trio, acoustic duo, or solo act. With two lead vocalists, and a repetoire spanning from the 60s to today, The Art Vandelays will entertain any crowd.

It's a great chance to get performance experience, try new songs, and meet other local musicians!
The most common scenario, for individual music lessons at any school is the following : you will receive a half hour time slot, and this time slot will be reserved for your lesson each and every week. There are exceptions when holidays occur, but for the most part you will have a weekly half hour lesson of private instruction.
Now, what happens within that half hour can be a wide array of scenarios, dependant on many factors such as; the teacher, the student, the instrument and the style of music. The one thing that you can count on when coming for lessons at Eric's Academy of Music, is that it will be an enjoyable experience, and you'll definitely take with you many great memories of your music lessons.
We definitely believe in the school of thought that a great music teacher is much more than a great musician. A great teacher requires patience, skill, and the ability to explain to others what they cannot understand.
Not only are the music teachers at Eric's Academy of Music qualified to play their instrument, but they are great teachers and people as well.
The world of music is constantly growing and changing, and our teachers are fully aware of that. We always have our eyes and ears open to current developments in music as well as education, and will never insist on doing something the traditional way..
Half Term Package
The half term package is ideal for students that have done the trial package already, or are already sure of their ability to commit for a longer period, but still without commiting to the entire school year. This package is only available during the first 5 months of the school year, after that your rate would drop to the 'full term' package.
The half-term package is for 5 months, at the rate of 22$/lesson(taxes included). For this package, we ask for post dated cheques in advance for each month of the package.
Summer Package

Full Term Package
The full term package is usually the best option for students that want to make a strong commitment to their instrument, and would like to register for the entire school year (ending at the end of June). You can register for this package at any time during the year.
The full-term package is until the end of June, at the rate of 18$/lesson(taxes included). For this package, we ask for post dated cheques in advance for each month of the package.
The "Drop In" (One Lesson)

Trial Package
The trial package is ideal for students that have never played before, and are unsure that music lessons is for them. It is also a great way to see if a particular instrument is a good fit for the student aswell.
The trial package is for 4 consequetive weeks, at the rate of 25$/lesson(taxes included). We ask that the payment for all lessons be paid up front.
